SHEOWS is an old age home working to save lives of the abandoned, destitute, and homeless elderly across Delhi NCR, and Uttar Pradesh. Starting from rescue to providing the elderly with a second home, it is a place where the elderly are medically treated, provided with comfortable accommodation, healthy and nutritious food, etc. free of cost.
The aim is to serve every destitute, orphan, needy and abandoned elderly with a strong belief of helping old aged people and spreading awareness of elders care would not only give them a new life but also reduce the cases of elder abuse in society. We believe in the notion of “Vasudeva Kutumbakam” meaning the whole world is our family which inspires us to serve every needy old aged as our own family member.

Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram (Old Age Home)- The brain Child of SHEOWS. SHEOWS (Saint Hardyal Educational and Orphan Welfare Society) is a “home away from home” for the abandoned elderly of our country. The organisation is registered under Society Registration Act 1860 and the Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Act, 1976. Since last 19 years we are providing free shelter, food, clothing, medical care facilities, love and affection to the destitute and abandoned old aged
To mitigate the sufferings of the elderly picked up from the streets. To ensure they have a dignified life by providing them access to comfortable accommodation, nutritious food, and healthcare.
To work for the neglected and abandoned elders left to die on the streets by their families, by providing shelter, food, and critical healthcare at our old age homes.
All these facilities are provided to the elderly completely free of cost throughout the year. Most of these elders are picked up from the streets of Delhi NCR or brought in by Police/hospital authorities.
SHEOWS is currently running 3 old age homes, Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram in Delhi there are 2 ashrams in Badarpur and Chattarpur and the third ashram is in Garhmukteshwar in UP. These are the home of 500+ old men and women found alone and abandoned. In the last 19 years we have rescued nearly 6,210 elders out of which more than 2,026 have been rehabilitated and more than 1,976 have been cremated.

Donation to SHEOWS is exempted for perpetuity u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961.
